How to use Zoom with Teachify (Server-to-Server)

Teachify allows you to host live events, whether it's ticketed seminars, free informational sessions, or even add "consultation services" to your courses, enabling one-on-one or one-to-many consultations, Q&A sessions, and guidance online.

You can not only use Teachify's built-in live streaming software, Nutshell Live, to start the above-mentioned live sessions but also choose to use your own Zoom account for live streaming, and the free version of Zoom account is eligible for integration.

Below are the steps to integrate Zoom with Teachify:

First, go to the ZOOM App Marketplace page and click on Sign In at the top right corner to log in.

After logging in, move your mouse pointer to Develop, and from the dropdown menu, you should see an option called Build App.

Click on Build App, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page where you will find Server-to-Server OAuth. Click the Create button at the bottom right corner.

A popup window will appear asking for the App Name. You can enter any name you like, or you can directly use the name of your Teachify academy. After naming it, click Create (the name won't have a significant impact on future operations).

After waiting for about 1-2 seconds, the following screen will appear. Please copy the Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.

Take the 3 pieces of information copied from the previous step and fill in the corresponding fields in Teachify's backend.

Teachify Backend Setting: Academy Backend > Settings - Academy Settings > Service List - ZOOM Settings.

❶ Account ID: Copy from Zoom page.
➋ Client ID: Copy from Zoom page.
➌ Client Secret: Copy from Zoom page.
➍ Authorized User Email: Your registered email account for Zoom | Authorized User Name: Your Zoom administrator's name.
❺ Enable?: Select "Yes".
❻ Once all the above fields are filled, click "Update".

The Key Steps Are as Follows:

Please go back to the Zoom backend, go from the original App Credentials option, and switch to Information. Fill in all the required basic information.

Next, go to the Scopes section, and click on + App Scopes.

A window will appear. In the Meeting section, check both "☑ View all user meetings" and "☑ View and manage all user meetings". If you have trouble finding the options, you can count from the top, and they are the 6th and 8th options in the list.

After selecting those, go to the User section and check "☑ View all user information".

A total of 3 options need to be checked. After selecting them, click "Done" at the bottom right corner.

Finally, we have come to the last step! On the Activation page, click on Activate your app to complete the integration with Zoom!

After the integration, when setting up a live event on Teachify, you can choose Zoom as your live streaming tool!
