How to set up Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for data tracking?

Google Analytics is one of the most important tools to collect data from your websites and apps for generating insightful analysis for creators.
However, Google has announced that the standard Universal Analytics properties will stop processing new hits on July 1, 2023.
In other words, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) will be the measurement solution for web and APP tracking afterwards.

It is very easy to set up GA4 on the Teachify platform. The only thing you need to do is go to:

GENERAL SETTINGS> 3RD-PARTY TRACKING & ANALYTICS

Paste the ID you copied from Google Analytics into the “Google Analytics Measurement ID” box and API secret value into the “Google Analytics Measurement API secret” box.

How to find your GA4 "Measurement ID" and "API secret"?

1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account; Click "Admin" at the bottom left corner.

2.Click "Data Streams" under the "Property" column.

If it is your first time to set up GA4, the system will ask you to set up a new data stream for data collection on your website or app.
Generally speaking, you can set up data streams in default settings.

Once you are done, you will see the screen below. “Measurement ID” is a string starting with G-. Just copy and paste this ID to the Teachify platform.
For “Measurement Protocol API secrets”, you can click the button under the “Events” column.

You will need to review and acknowledge terms at your first-time setup.

Click “Create” at the top right corner and give it a nickname for easier recognition.

Then you will get the “API secret value”. Copy and paste this value to the Teachify platform.
